José Azevedo Moleskine Illustration

Tags / — Format Magazine Urban Art Fashion @ 11:08 am

Brazilian artist and illustrator José Azevedo deserves a round of applause for his outstanding Moleskine illustrations. The myriad colors, layers and typographic themes he utilizes are something to behold. We don’t have enough space on these pages to showcase his entire body of work, but trust us when we say, it’s extensive. Quirky hand-drawn typography and sentimental musing abounds…

SOPHNET March 2010 Product Releases

SOPHNET is set to release some new seasonally appropriate products for March 2010. Leading the charge in this release is the Invista Coolmax Soft Sucker Check range, which consists of a four button jacket, long sleeve button-down shirt and short pants — we would, however, warn against wearing any of these garments as an ensemble — you’d be better of matching individual pieces with other prominent items from you existing wardrobe. Furthermore, the SOPHNET March drop includes the workwear inspired cotton hickory damaged vest and baker pants to add a little variety to the mix…

Goodhood x R. Newbold Spring 2010 Collaboration

Tags / — Format Magazine Urban Art Fashion @ 9:45 am

Spring means many things, but most importantly, its the time when lighter garments and vibrant colorways start filtering down the line as is the case with the Goodhood receiving its first items from R. Newbold spring 2010 collaboration. We’re seeing some great potential in this drop, especially the double-layered chambray shirt and stripped parka (with removable hood). Other pieces that are of interest include the faded red (we see pink) jeans and the graphic print t-shirts. All-in-all, the Goodhood and R. Newbold spring 2010 collection is looking to spark a newfound vibrancy amongst the fashionable urban set…

Svilen Gamalov ‘Cube Chair’

Tags / — Format Magazine Urban Art Fashion @ 9:13 am

Although still in the concept stages of design, Svilen Gamalov’s ‘Cube Chair’ provides an interesting example of modern design and how intricately it can be envisioned in the digital age. The chair, which combines futurist design elements of the 1950’s with modern sensibility, is designed to envelope the user, creating a comfortable and stylized space. Dynamic, even as a concept, Gamalov’s ‘Cube Chair’ design is one we hope to see fully realized soon.
